About us

Monkeyologist Dr. Julie Anderson was born in a temperate rainforest just outside Glasgow. Raised by gibbons in Scotland and trained in the art of monkey-magic, Jools set forth to commune with primates in peril. With her ape like powers she has managed primate rehabilitation and conservation projects in Thailand and Kenya, and presented wildlife documentaries for BBC Scotland. Only after a return to the UK and 4 further years working with the Zoological Society of London did people start calling her doctor, even through Jools has never even owned a stethescope.

Keith Leonard (Killy) is a Vet, that doesn't mean he's very old, or that he fought in Vietnam, no, its a kind of animal doctor thing. Killy was raised in Burleydam, England along with three brothers by 'The Mother,' a mad Irish woman from a large mad Irish family. Killy met the monkeyologist Dr. Jools in Kenya and due to his natural hairyness and love of climbing she decided to trap, sedate, and radiocollar him, and then follow him up and down various mountains.
